Sandra Groschwitz

Sandra Groschwitz has trained dogs since 2003, working professionally since 2013, beginning in the sport of Schutzhund (IPO/IGP) with her German Shepherd Dogs. Her dogs are actively trained and have competed at the national level, earning distinctions including Second Best Obedience Performance at the 2021 National Championship, Second Best Female Dog at the 2022 WDC Nationals, and multiple Top Five Regional Championship finishes.

With more than two decades of hands-on experience, Sandra is recognized for her deep understanding of canine behavior, stress, social dynamics, and training systems that produce clarity and reliability. Her work spans high-level sport training, companion dog behavior, and complex behavior cases, always grounded in practical application rather than theory.

Sandra has evaluated dogs for the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC, CGCA, CGCU) programs, worked extensively with animal shelters on rehabilitation and behavior assessment, and led a local Therapy Dog program for years. As the owner and operator of a professional dog training and -care facility, she applies the same standards of structure, consistency, and accountability to daily care as she does to advanced training.

What distinguishes Sandra’s work is not a single method, but judgment—knowing when to challenge, when to slow a dog down, and when management, rather than training, is the correct solution. Clients value her calm presence, direct communication, and ability to see the whole picture: the dog, the handler, and the environment they live in.

Sandra’s practice is built on experience earned over decades, not quick fixes. Her work is selective by design, allowing her to focus deeply on dogs and handlers who are ready to engage thoughtfully in the process.
